I am a freelance communications consultant, entrepreneur, educator and un-conference organiser living in the west of Ireland.

Public Relations

Over 24 years experience in the public relations industry, in addition to being current board member of the national council of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.

Worked on large multinational accounts (Microsoft, Nokia, HP) to small indigenous Irish companies in corporate and digital communications.

Entrepreneur.

Founded and co-founded a number of start ups in the social promotion, crowd funding and time management arena bring ideas to fruition, through fundraising and early commercialisation.

Education

Trainer for Irish Times Training, the Digital Marketing Institute and have lectured in marketing for the Dublin Business School and NCI.

Unconference Organiser

Founder and organiser of ‘mindmesh’ ‘unconference’ CongRegation which now enters it 6th year and established The Energy Symposium.

I also have also worked on the Dublin Website Summit as Global Media Liaison, the Predict Conference and created a unique many-to-many format for the ICBE national conference though the Knowledge Map.

Other Experiences

I was a director and Vice Chair of the Irish Internet Association for six years, a graduate member of the PRII and MII, a judge of the Irish Blog Awards and the IIA Net Visionary Awards and a past member of the communications committee of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce.  In a previous life I was a secondary school teacher.

Outside of work I am passionate about sports. Never a great spectator I play football, jog, mountain walk, swim and cycle leading to a growing interest in Triathlons and adventure sports.
